Kids Valentine’s Day Card DIY

Classic Cut-out Heart Valentine Card
A classic cut-out heart Valentine with a thoughtful message is an easy way for kids to make a thoughtful and creative card for friends, family, and classmates.
What you’ll need:
- White card stock or thick white paper
- Colored paper (pink or red)
- Scissors
- Glue
- Pens or markers
Instructions:
1. Glue the colored paper to the white card stock
2. Fold in half
3. Draw a half heart shape along the corner of the fold
4. Cut along the line you drew
5. Open the card
6. Write a thoughtful message on the inside with colorful pens and markers
7. Write “To:” and “From:” on the outside of the card
Optional: draw hearts and other creative pictures on the inside of the card
Butterfly Valentine’s Day Card

What you’ll need:
- Colored cardstock
- Glue
- Scissors
- Tape
- Lollipop of your choice (Tootsie pop, blow pop)
- Optional: googly eyes for lollipop, glitter for card
Instructions:

2. Cut into butterfly shape
3. Cut small slit in the center of the butterfly
4. Put a lollipop in the slit
5. Write thoughtful messages or add designs to the card

- White card stock
- Green construction paper
- Scissors
- Glue
- Green yarn
- Pens or markers
- Red lollipops
Instructions:
1. Glue green construction paper to white card stock
2. Draw outlines of leaves and cut out into leaf shapes
3. Separately wrap lollipop stems in green yarn and tie together at the ends
4. Attach green leaf with a thoughtful message to the yarn at the end of the lollipop sticks
