What are you doing to celebrate National Trails Day? The American Hiking Society first established the event to celebrate national scenic and historic trails and all trails on public lands. It takes place each year on the first Saturday in June.
This year more than ever, we can give thanks for the physical, mental, and emotional restoration natural areas provide. Getting outside during the pandemic wasn’t always easy, but public lands, waters, and parks certainly provided a welcome respite for when we did.
