Did you know that July is national picnic month? Whether you’re in the city or somewhere with a bit more open space, a picnic is the perfect way to enjoy your time outdoors and with the people you love.
It’s also a great way to celebrate our favorite summer holiday! Spend the 4th of July munching on some of your favorite foods outside. Keep reading for more information on how to pack a picnic for the weekend.
Let’s start with packing up your food. Some of our favorite picnic snacks include fruit salad, sandwiches, popsicles, and of course, some red, white, and blue cookies. We recommend using Tupperware or zip lock bags to prevent spills during the trek.
You may also want to bring a blanket to sit on, along with some plates, napkins, and plastic silverware. That way, you don’t have to worry about making too much of a mess.
Don’t forget to throw in a few fun games to play during the picnic. Once you have everything prepared, place them neatly in your picnic basket. Remember, the more organized you are packing up, the easier it will be to unpack and unwind!
Be sure to take photos of the fun and post them to social media! Tag us @greatwolflodge. You can also explore our blog for more family activities to enjoy this summer.
