About 10 minutes
Materials Needed:
- Bubble Wrap
- Sharpie Marker
- Push Pins
Here’s a great exercise for young kids who are still getting familiar with the alphabet. The best part? It only takes about ten minutes to prepare! Begin by writing letters on the back of a sheet of bubble wrap. Use different color markers to create a rainbow alphabet. Once you finish, attach the bubble wrap to the wall using your push pins. Remember, you’ll have to flip your sheet around to begin the activity so make sure the letters are written backward. That way, they’ll appear the right way around once it’s time to kick things off.
Ask the kids to pop the letters and call them out as they go! You can test their existing knowledge of the alphabet by asking them to pop specific letters or to spell out certain words. Don’t forget to ask them to pop “their letter,” or the first initial of their name!
