1. Zoo Atlanta
If you’re partial to pandas, this is your happy place. Zoo Atlanta, located in beautiful historic Grant Park, is home to the only giant panda twins in the U.S., Ya Lun and Xi Lun, and it’s one of only four zoos in the U.S. with pandas at all!
Of course, there’s much more, including the all-new African Savanna, and 1,300 more animals to check out. With lots of beautiful species to behold, the zoo is perfect for kids in Atlanta that love wildlife. So check out the panda cam and get psyched!
2. Georgia Aquarium
Now leave the land animals behind, and go visit some sea creatures at the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta! See beluga whales, whale sharks, manta rays, penguins, sea otters, dolphins and more.
Great for all ages, the animated “Deepo’s Undersea 3D Wondershow,” explains the importance of protecting animals and their natural environment. Special animal encounter programs offer the chance to be face-to-face with dolphins, sea otters and penguins.
3. High Museum of Art
The High Museum’s amazing architecture houses more than 15,000 works of art. It’s kids area, CREATE, is a studio devoted to developing youngsters’ creative process.
Across the hall is EXPERIENCE, an immersive gallery designed to help visitors explore what art means, how it feels and where it can take us. Both spaces include a quiet space with activities designed for reflection — plus areas specifically for infants and toddlers.
4. Center For Puppetry Arts
Not every city has a museum of puppetry, but lucky for you. Atlanta does! Plus, most of the Muppets (yes, that means Jim Henson’s collection!) live here.
You can also enjoy performances of classics (past rave-earning shows were the The Wizard of Oz and The Cat in the Hat), but reservations for their shows are highly recommended.

6. The Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historical Park
Come hear the story of America’s foremost civil rights icon, visit the home of his birth, and hear his voice in the church where he preached. Don’t miss the “Children of Courage” exhibit.
Geared towards younger visitors, it tells the story of the children of the Civil Rights Movement, with a challenge to the youth of today.
7. World of Coca-Cola
Experience everything behind the world’s most famous caffeinated soft drink. 8. Great Wolf Lodge

10. Andretti Karting and Games

12. Treetop Quest
With something for just about everyone, Treetop Quest is perfect for families looking for some fun outdoor activities. There are 8 courses to choose from starting at age four, so even the little ones can join in on the fun.
Lasting for 2.5 hours, you’ll be able to go on the courses as many times as you want. Enjoy a quick lesson from the instructors and then head off into the trees as you go through obstacles and fly down zip-lines.
Just two minutes from the Mall of Georgia at the Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center, it’s often referred to as Gwinnett’s hidden gem and we can definitely see why.
13. Adventure Air Sports
If action sports and getting in a good workout is your thing then you need to check out Adventure Air Sports.
