Ohio may not have an ocean but that doesn’t mean you won’t catch a wave when in town! Great Wolf Lodge has not one but two locations in the Buckeye State.

To the north, you’ll find our Sandusky resort. It features four water slides, a lazy river, an outdoor pool area and more!

Best Indoor Water Parks in Ohio

Sandusky, Ohio Water Park

The Great Wolf Lodge indoor water park in Sandusky, Ohio has a little something for everyone in the family! Older kids and adults will enjoy our high-speed indoor waterslides. The Alberta Falls attraction features four stories of fast-water fun!

The tube ride is full of swift turns and steep pitches. Guests will be taken right outside the building and back in again before a final drop into the plunge pool.

Next up on the list is Sandusky’s Otter Run. This one features lots of easy turns and gently sloping straightaways, making a popular choice guests of all ages!

You can also play it safe over at the Whooping Hollow, a play pool that’s just 52 inches deep. It contains several kiddie slides for parents and kids to coast down together!

Our indoor water park also includes a four-story interactive tree house, also known as Fort Mackenzie. The fort is full of interactive water toys and kid-activated splash features.

Make your way to the top and escape down the Totem Tower body slides to start the journey all over again! Keep an ear out for the bell; when it rings, the gigantic bucket located atop the water play structure is ready to tip!

Enjoy a game of water basketball over at Chinook Cove, our indoor activity pool. Practice your hook shots, free throws and more! Toddlers and small children will have a blast in the Soak’n Oak Springs. They’ll spend the day climbing up the tree house, sliding back down and splashing around its “bear-cub” fountains. The pool is designed to give parents a little extra piece of mind, measuring just 18-inches deep.

Guests can also take advantage of our outdoor activity pool during the summer months. The Racoon Lagoon offers an all-around three-foot, six-inch deep water play area, with fountains and plenty of poolside seating for soaking up the sun!

If you need a break from the action you can always head over to the Caribou Creek, our very own lazy river. Hop in a tube and float downstream with family and friends. If you really need a moment of zen, settle into the Manitoba Tubs. The hot springs are the perfect place to relax after a long day of water park resort fun!

Mason, Ohio Water Park

Located just outside of Cincinnati, the Great Wolf Lodge indoor waterpark in Mason, Ohio has tons of attractions with even more raft rides, tube slides and play areas to enjoy, starting with Slap Tail Pond.

The wave pool features a five-foot deep end and zero-depth entry shallows. The rollers flow in every five minutes, so be sure to time your entrance accordingly!

Take in some extra thrills with the Coyote Cannon, which features a 40-foot drop into a water-jet fueled vortex. You’ll plunge four stories in just a few seconds! You’ll eventually find yourself spinning around its whirling basin before an unforgettable splash landing!

The whole family can enjoy the action all together with our River Canyon Run. Hop in a tube together and enjoy the twisting, gliding, raft-riding adventure of a lifetime!

Other water slides and rides at the Mason lodge include the Triple Twist, which involves electrifying drops into three successive funnels, and the Hydro Plunge, our very own water roller coaster. The rafts are propelled by a motorized track up a steep climb before 52-foot vertical drop!

Day Passes and Attractions

Both locations offer a whole host of family fun activities both indoors and outdoors outside of our 84-degree water park as well. Hotel guests and those with day passes can take part in various activities throughout the day at the resort, including character appearances, PJ parties and storytime.

Other dry-land attractions our resort offers include the build-a-bear workshop, northern lights arcade and MagiQuest, our live-action role-play game. The Mason location offers a few additional levels of fun to the game as well as a bowling alley and indoor mini golf course.
